Michigan Aerospace has continued to improve the stability, robustness and ruggedness of its tunable
Fabry-Perot design since the company’s inception. The current base design has been qualified
twice for launch aboard the Delta II vehicle, including a back-up etalon fabricated under the Cloud-Aerosol
Lidar and Infrared Pathfinder Satellite (CALIPSO) program in 2001, shown below in Figure 1.
