Optical Diagnostics
Michigan Aerospace Corporation's Optical Diagnostics unit specializes in elastic and inelastic light scattering for both remote
sensing and in-situ measurements. Current product development in this area involves a spectral characterization instrument to
measure the spectral signatures and cross-sections of biological simulants and agents in support of open-air range tests of
Infrared/Ultraviolet Laser-Induced Fluorescence LIDAR systems. The LIDAR systems are intended to detect potentially harmful biological
threat clouds.
